porsche 911 964 turbo 3 3 night blue 1991

Few cars are as legendary as the Porsche 911 Turbo. In the early years of the Turbo, like with the 930 Turbo, the sudden onset of the Turbo’s known ‘turbo lag’ combined with the rear weight of the car gave it a somewhat fearsome reputation among certain buyers. However, with the advent of technical changes, Porsche responded by giving the Turbo a smoother driving experience.

mercedes benz 190 sl 1957

In 1955, Mercedes-Benz introduced the 190SL, an affordable two-seater convertible that was heavily inspired by the iconic 300SL in its design. This beautiful classic, equipped with a 1,897-cc four-cylinder engine and a manual four-speed gearbox, offers a unique driving experience. Unlike the 300SL, the 190SL uses a shortened chassis from the W121 sedan.

This 190SL is truly in excellent condition thanks to a complete ‘nut and bolt’ restoration. The bodywork is sleek and clean, with excellent alignment of the hinged parts. The seams between the sheet metal parts are also beautifully finished. The restoration is extensively documented, showing that the bodywork, interior, and technical aspects have been fully and expertly restored/revised. The chrome work, for example, is in new condition and stands out beautifully against the dark gray paint.

Ferrari Testarossa

ferrari testarossa only 24500 km from new 1991

In the 1980s, if you asked any car enthusiast which Ferrari was the flagship of the time, the answer would undoubtedly be the Testarossa. It’s no surprise, as its twelve-cylinder engine and futuristic lines made many car lovers’ hearts race. This model defined the sports car. Gallery Aaldering is a fan of the 512 BB(i) and always believed it would be challenging to recreate such an incredible concept. When something is so beautiful and spectacular, how could it get any better? But Ferrari managed to create something new and equally stunning, or do you disagree with us?

Looking at Ferrari’s racing history, the Testarossa retained the mid-mounted 5-liter twelve-cylinder engine, now delivering 380 hp. Ferrari’s engineers did everything to enhance the driving experience alongside the increased power. Compared to its predecessor, the Testarossa offered a smoother driving experience and significantly more elastic performance. The top speed of 290 km/h was, of course, extraordinary for its time.

Chevrolet Corvette C2 Stingray Convertible

1964 – Fully restored and mechanically rebuilt condition, loads of upgrades like independent rear suspension Wilwood brakes and much more, recently completely checked and serviced by a well-known Dutch Corvette specialist.

chevrolet corvette c2 stingray convertible 1964

Sought! Tough man or woman who can tame this car. What an incredibly brutal device. This 1964 Chevrolet Corvette C2 Stingray Convertible is an absolute masterpiece. The car has been fully restored and overhauled. But not only that, in this case the car has also been considerably modernized. The Corvette features fully independent suspension all round, Wilwood brakes, a Tremec five-speed transmission and a hugely tuned 427 Big Block V8. You will understand: this is not a car to approach without respect. The Corvette is fast, very fast!

The body of the car looks beautiful. The American Racing wheels are perhaps the first thing you notice about the car. That is not so surprising because they are considerably larger than with a standard copy, that is also necessary because they offer space for a set with huge Wilwood brakes. The wheels are also fitted with good tires in the correct sizes. The paint is in very good condition and fits well with the brutal character of the Corvette. The car also has a black convertible top, which was also renewed during the restoration. The hood is of good quality, fits well everywhere and is easy to operate. Especially the underside of the Corvette is a true work of art. Where the rear axle is normally supported by a pair of leaf springs, this car is equipped with fully independent rear suspension, it is a true work of art and also ensures excellent handling.

bentley 4 c2bc litre drophead coupe by hooper derby 1938

By the end of the 1930s, the ‘Derby’ Bentley, introduced at the beginning of that decade following the company’s takeover by Rolls-Royce, had undergone several significant developments that were important for the brand. For instance, the engine capacity was increased to 4,257 cc. The new engine was shared with the Rolls-Royce 25/30hp, but the Bentley had some differences that made it significantly different. The Bentley featured, among other things, a sportier camshaft and twin SU carburetors. The result was that the new 4¼-liter Bentley offered more power, which was of course a good thing.
These innovations made the ‘Derby’ Bentley a perfect combination of power, reliability, and sportiness, setting a new standard for luxury and performance in the automotive industry.

At Gallery Aaldering a beautiful 1938 Bentley Drophead Coupe is in the collection. The vehicle has undergone an extensive restoration and overhaul by the renowned marque specialists Alpine Eagle, resulting in a great condition. This Bentley, originally Hooper’s London Olympia Motor Show car, was delivered to Archibald Fraser Esq in Glasgow after the show. In 1942, the car was transferred to Sir Oliver Edwin Simmonds MP in Ripley, who had an electric/hydraulic hood mechanism installed by Abbotts of Farnham.

Ferrari 512 TR

1993 – Highly original and well-maintained example, in EU-livery (Italy) executed, finished in “Rosso Corsa” over black leather, includes manual-leather pouch with the booklets, one of just 2261 examples built, three owners from new (documented), remained in a private-collection for the last 10 years.

ferrari 512 tr 1993

In 1984, Ferrari created an absolute sensation with the Testarossa at the Paris Motor Show. With immense interest surrounding the Ferrari stand, the public eagerly gazed at Ferrari’s latest model. Gallery Aaldering believes that Lamborghini set the supercar trend in the 1960s with the Miura. However, many would agree that in the 1980s, besides some legendary Lamborghinis, Ferrari almost redefined the supercar with the Testarossa. It was no surprise that the model was a success for the Italian brand.

The Testarossa had three main versions, with the last one appearing in 1991. The very first Testarossas featured only one exterior mirror, earning the nickname ‘Monospecchio’. But let’s go back to 1991. Ferrari changed the name to the 512 TR, hinting at the fantastic 5-litre twelve-cylinder engine. In four years of production, only 2,261 units of the 512 TR were built. This third series presented itself as a superb evolution of the Testarossa, offering improved performance, better handling, and a more modern package that was perfectly in tune with the times.

Fiat Dino Coupé 2400

1972 – Iconic design by Bertone and famous V6 engine, original and well-preserved condition, exquisite driving experience, comprehensive documentation with invoices and photos.

fiat dino coupe 2400 1972

Gallery Aaldering hears often that the faster a car is, it is better. With so many beautiful (classic) cars that they sell annually, they know better than anyone how cars drive and what they have to offer. May they give you a word of advice? If you are in the market for a classic car with a beautiful Italian body, a delightful engine, and the right combination of performance and experience, then you simply cannot overlook this Fiat Dino. By the right combination, Gallery Aaldering means that with a Dino, you can drive sportily without immediately reaching highly illegal speeds. This is why a Fiat Dino is rightfully one of the  favorites.

Perhaps you are already familiar with the history, but in the 1960s, Ferrari needed a two-liter engine for Formula 2. It was required to build 500 units to meet the homologation requirements, and for that, Ferrari enlisted the help of Fiat. Thus, both Ferrari and Fiat had a Dino.
