The Schnitzer BMW M1 Turbo is definitely the spearhead of the BMW M1 Motorsport and was piloted by Hans-Joachim Stuck. After the season, the Stuck finished with a total of three wins in eighth overall, the car was no longer used by carvers noteworthy or further developed.
Subsequently, the vehicle took over Hans Holnburger for his participation in the STT (Special Touring Car Trophy) where it was driven over 10 years – then lost his track for now. The Schnitzer BMW M1 Turbo is a unique piece. It has been completely restored by the Schnitzer company in Freilassing since 2013 over a period of three years, paying attention to its originality and also to the fact that the vehicle could still participate in historic motorsport events without any problems today.
