Mercedes-Benz 190SL (1959)
Matching numbers and colours, factory hardtop
This is a lovely 1959 Mercedes-Benz 190SL in used but in good condition. The 190SL being the smaller brother to the 300SL Roadster. The car has been in the Netherlands since 1997. The car has already been restored once and very well maintained ever since.
The correctly aligned panelwork is nice and thin. The brightwork and hubcaps to are still very neat. The hood is in good shape and working order. The tonneau cover neatly protects the hood when it is down. At the time the red paintwork was expertly applied and is still quite presentable with some signs of use commiserate with its age and mileage.
It has black leather upholstery and grey carpets inside. The cockpit is smart with all instruments in good working order and the dashboard being colour-coded. The white steering wheel contrasts nicely with the black leather and red of the dashboard.
Aston Martin DB9 5.9 V12 Touchtronic (2006)
Dutch delivered, stunning colours, full dealer service history
This is quite extraordinary, an original Dutch supplied 2014 Aston Martin DB9. It was ordered from Kroymans the Aston Martin importer.
The first owner ordered a beautiful classic and refined Aston Martin DB9. The black exterior is complemented by white leather seats and black leather and brown Alcantara headlining. It all looks perfect smart. The car’s full title is an Aston Martin DB9 V12 Coupé Touchtronic. What we have here is a DB9 with a six-speed ZF automatic gearbox. You have the choice to drive in full automatic mode or use the flappy paddles on the steering wheel. The car has only clocked up 98,960 km and has exclusively been serviced by Kroymans over the last seven years.
The bodywork is in particularly fine condition. The nice and thin panelwork is correctly aligned, just as you would expect from a modern car. It has its original correctly shod 19-inch rims. The quality of paintwork is bar a few light blemishes is very good.
Mercedes-Benz 280SL Pagoda (1970)
Very good condition, stunning colour combination, interesting history
This beautiful W113 Mercedes-Benz 280SL Pagoda was delivered to the first German owner in 1970. She was a young lady of excellent taste and put together this fine specimen. In the late 1970s she took the car to Malaysia where she moved to marry the governor of Penang. The car was added to the governmental fleet and was in regular use until 1985 when the car was sold to the second owner a Dane named Hans who was seconded to Malaysia at the time. In 1989 he went back to Denmark and took the Pagoda with him. He owned the car until 1999.
When he sold the car, the Pagoda had lost quite a bit of its former luster and the car was due for a restoration. The restoration was carried out by the penultimate owner. He was a gifted mechanic and restorer and wanted to bring the car back to top condition, a mission in which he more than succeeded.
Jaguar XK120 OTS (1954)
Lovely condition, rare Open Top Speedster runs great
This Jaguar XK120 Open Top Speedster was originally supplied by the Californian, Los Angles based Hornburg Jaguar dealership in 1954. The car still sports the same colour it left the factory with as well as having retained its original engine. In other words, this is a matching colour and numbers example. The car has already been restored and is in good shape.
Let us start underneath with our description. The chassis is of course completely rust-free and looks good. The bodywork has been very well looked after with only slight signs of use. The correctly aligned panelwork is nice and thin. The recently replaced and well-fitting hood is easy to operate. The hood frame is also up to standard. The red finish was expertly reapplied and still presents neatly with only a few blemishes detected. The chrome wire wheels, bumpers and other brightwork all look very presentable.
Inside the car, we find nicely and ever so slightly worn beige leather upholstery. The seats are comfortable. The walnut burr dash looks stunning. The original gauges are clear to read and all the original controls are in a good state.
Bentley S2 (1960)
Low kilometres, Swiss delivered car, very original, top quality
On the 10th February 1960, Mr Moens was able to collect his brand spanking new Bentley S2 from the Geneva Bentley dealership in Switzerland. The car remained part of the family until 2016 before it was passed on to a Spanish fanatic Bentley and Rolls-Royce collector.
The car came in this beautiful and incredibly elegant two-tone finish of black over Opal metallic. This treasured possession always received the utmost care which has contributed in no mean way to its current excellent condition. The fine bodywork has correctly aligned nice and thin panelwork. The especially well-maintained bright work shines brilliantly. The paintwork has suffered remarkably little over the years and still presents very well.
The interior is upholstered in its original fine, top-quality light tan leather. The light tan leather and light brown carpets contrast wonderfully well with the two-tone exterior. The wooden dashboard, door panels and fully operational rear folding tables are all in a very good state. The fact this was mainly are chauffeur driven car is reinforced by the cigar lighter mounted on the rear righthand side. Of course the whole.
Bentley concept was one of ultimate passenger comfort. That however did not exclude the needs of the chauffeur, who would have benefitted from a grand array of top-quality controls whilst monitoring the car’s vital signs through the gorgeous Smith gauges. Needless to say, the quality of the door panels and carpets are second to none.
Austin Healey 3000 MK2 (1962)
Prepared for rallies, very well maintained, factory hardtop
Sometimes stories seem more attractive than the car itself. Of course it only seems that way and it is purely indicative of the way a car’s history has been recorded. This car is a perfect example in case. It is a stunning Austin Healy 3000 Mk2 fully prepared to take part in classic car rallies such as the Tulip Rally.
It was an American supplied car when new in 1962 and arrived in the Netherlands in 2001. The previous owner together with Austin Healy expert Michiel Capelle subjected the car to an extensive
pre-purchase inspection. After finding the car had a good solid base they started on a most rigorous restoration.
As is usual the restoration was carried out with a clear goal in mind. The goal was simply to create a superb sturdy Austin Healy 3000 Mk2 perfectly suited to take part in longer rallies. As far as we are concerned it has more than achieved the wished for results. The red Healy eventually got its original silver finish back. The moment it was in Capelle’s hands it was fully dismantled. The bodywork and chassis as well as the every mechanical aspect was subjected to a full and exhaustive restoration.
Mercedes-Benz 500SL (1983)
Long term ownership, drivers condition, very well maintained
Gallery Aaldering has a rather lovely Mercedes-Benz 500SL available. The car first hit the road in the USA in 1983 and has been immaculately maintained.
The bodywork is in good shape with the original thin panelwork. The bodywork has some signs of normal use commiserate with its age and mileage. The chrome bumpers and bodywork rubber are both neat. The car has a black hood in good working order, providing a good seal when down. The 500SL has its original rims shod in correctly sized rubber with ample profile. The interior is completely original and gives off an aura of fine patina. As was the rule with this generation of Mercedes-Benz models, the interior was made to last into perpetuity. Looking at the 500SL’s equipment it is clear this car was aimed at the top market segment. The car has climate control, heated seats, electrically adjustable seats, electric windows, cruise control as well as the ever-popular and rare rear bench.
Mechanically the car was also clearly aimed at the higher market segment with the 500SL being the top of the range SL at the time. The car has a 5.0 V8 engine attached to a 4-speed automatic gearbox. The engine is fitted with Bosch D-Jetronic fuel injection and develops 240 Ps. The unit is, like the interior, built to last forever. In our case with nearly 120,000 miles on the clock, we would say it is just about nicely run-in. The large bore engine always delivers more than enough torque and drags the 500SL effortlessly up to speeds of 225 km/hr. It is nice to know the 500SL also has ABS to shed all that speed. The brakes are therefore responsive and the suspension gives the car a delightfully comfortable ride together with the automatic’s silky soft gear change.
Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera Convertible (1984)

This very nice Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera convertible was supplied from new by the Californian, Garden Grove Porsche dealer on the 15th May 1984. It has had three owners and has 114,458 on the clock. This Porsche is unrestored and, as the stamped service book shows, has always been extremely well maintained. The original fine bodywork is not only completely sound, it also has perfectly straight and well fitting body panels. The top quality original underbody is rust-free. This Porsche has the original ‘Rubin Rot Metallic 810 M2’ finish with ’Grau Beige’ leather interior trim and matching black hood. It is fitted with aircon, Fuchs rims, cruise control and electric windows. It has retained its original, matching numbers, engine, which naturally carries a Porsche certificate. The documentation includes the original car wallet containing the service book and owner’s manual. A strikingly finished supremely original 911!
