For obvious public health reasons, all sporting, cultural and commercial events scheduled to take place in the coming weeks have been cancelled in most countries around the world. Zaniroli Classic Events is pleased to announce that the Richard Mille Princesses Rally, originally set for June 6 – 11, has simply been postponed until September. For that they must have cancelled the Alps Trophy which was at the same dates.
The route from Paris to La Baule will remain the same, with the starting line-up at Place Vendôme on September 12th and the finish line on the Atlantic coast after five unforgettable days of women’s motor sport elegance and excitement.
The major health problem that has plagued Western Europe since the beginning of March has forced authorities to take drastic containment measures to combat the spread of COVID-19.
Given the uncertainty regarding the duration of this ‘lockdown’ and eventual return to normality, all sports competitions, live performances and professional trade shows scheduled to take place in the next three months have been postponed or cancelled.
Well aware of the importance of these health concerns, it is in consultation with the authorities and the various Richard Mille Princesses Rally that Zaniroli Classic Events made the decision to move the 21st edition of the event to September. Following concerted efforts from all involved, Zaniroli Classic were able to secure the dates of September 12 – 17, 2020.
“Aside from the dates, everything remains the same. Looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday, September 12th at Place VendĂ´me in Paris for the technical and administrative verifications. The first leg of the rally will take us to Le Touquet on Sunday the 13th.”
In this context, registrations are remain open in September for those who could not come in June.
Some decisions are very difficult to take but necessary with this current situation. Viviane and Patrick Zaniroli, and there crew, thank you very much for your understanding. “We wish to all of you to spend this difficult period in the best conditions. Stay at home and take care of yourself and yours so that we can find ourselves quickly and in great shape!”
Viviane Zaniroli: “Celebrating life and passion!”
“The RICHARD MILLE PRINCESSES RALLY is a celebration of life and our shared passion for motor sports. Given the current global health crisis, our decision to postpone the event was an obvious one. For event organizers, the Coronavirus pandemic is one of the worst situations we’ve ever had to face. But our top concern was for all of you who make this event so brilliantly unique. The 21st edition of our event is not to be missed! It will be exceptional in every way. From the innovative new route northwest to the Atlantic instead of southeast to the Mediterranean, to the change of date from late spring to Indian summer… this year’s event will be brimming with refreshing new experiences and an unexpected reminder of the year 2000, when, for its very first edition, just 20 years ago, the Princesses Rally also took place a 12th September!”
