Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta

The filigree bumpers, the golden paint – good reasons to be irritated. After all, this Short Wheelbase wears an aluminum dress of the Carrozzeria Scaglietti, a real competitive device.

Gerard Spinedi, first owner from Geneva, had just a special taste, whose characteristics reflect in other unorthodox details. For example the headlight on the right fender or the additional wiper above the windshield. The so-called Berlinetta, directed by Jo Schlesser, completed its first race on the 16th of March in1961 – with an overall victory. Until October 1964 Spinedi denied many other competitions, which resulted in a respectable number of class wins.1961,1962 and 1963 he also joined the Tour de France with his gold-colored beast, the last participation brought a fourth place.
