IWC and Mercedes-AMG have been partners since 2004. The long-lasting collaboration is grounded in many shared values, including the pursuit of technical perfection and uncompromising quality.
With the first Pilot’s Watch Chronograph in titanium, the performance and sports car brand of Mercedes-Benz now holds a permanent place in IWC’s Pilot’s Watches collection. The Pilot’s Watch Chronograph Edition “AMG” is crafted using racing-inspired materials and brings the style and adrenaline of motorsport to the wearer’s wrist.
The case, crown and pushers are made from Grade 5 titanium, a lightweight and resistant alloy also used in high-performance cars. The dial features the same black carbon fibre often used for racing chassis parts. The raw material is continuous carbon fibres, which are processed on weaving machines into textile structures, giving the dial the characteristic woven “carbon look”.
The black dial contrasts with the silver-plated chronograph counters and the small seconds at 6 o’clock. The chronograph is powered by the IWC-manufactured calibre 69385, a robust and precise chronograph movement. The Mercedes-AMG logo is emblazoned on the tinted sapphire crystal case back. This all-around sporty timepiece is fitted with a black leather strap with a stainless-steel folding clasp.
