The Alpes are typical for winding roads that go on as far as the eye can see, passes to be crossed at an altitude of more than 2,000 metres and links in the valley as the only way to breathe: imagined between the two world wars by Albert Rousset, the Rallye des Alpes paved the way for one of the most demanding events in the history of motor sport.
Zigzags as far as your eyes can see, crossing passes at more than 2000m above sea level, Trophy of the Alps promises to be the sports pic of the rallies this season! Taken over and
remodeled since 2017 with all the Zaniroli Classic Event’s savoir-faire and expertise, the
Alpes Trophy means around 1300 km of driving in just four days and not less than 10 passes to cross everyday. A sports regularity without equal where the driving skills and the navigation will have a predominant role on this route as much beautiful as redoubtable. Even if conviviality stays the DNA of every Rally organised by Patrick and Viviane Zaniroli, the 2022 Alpes Trophy is also be worth it for its extreme challenging nature for the pilots and co-pilots as well as the mechanics.
For this 6th edition, the Trophée des Alpes promises to be the sporting highlight of the season! With nearly 1,300 kilometres to cover in four days and no less than ten passes to climb each day and as many ZRs, there will be sweat and tears. An unparalleled sporting regularity where both driving and navigation will play a predominant role on a route that is as beautiful as it is formidable. You will have understood: if conviviality remains the DNA of any organisation launched by Zaniroli Classic Events, this 2022 Alps Trophy will also be worth its extreme demands, both for the men and for the machines!
The start and finish checks will take place in Le Grand Bornand as last year: In order to get straight to the heart of the matter and to allow our friends from the north of France and Belgium to travel fewer kilometres to reach the event. Four days in the French Alps starting from Le Grand Bornand, one of the most beautiful resorts in the heart of the Mont Blanc and Aravis Massifs, a land of legends and traditions. The participants will ride along the most beautiful roads of these majestic Alpine ranges, between majestic summits, generous mountain pastures and bucolic forests. A 1200 km loop that will bring the caravan back to this resort for the finish podium and the prize-giving ceremony on September 16th!
For those who love the atmosphere of competition, or for those who want to follow the itineraries of our rallies in their old cars, it is possible to follow the Trophée des Alpes in parallel. This formula can also be used as a foretaste for novices who want to test their capacities and those of their car without any pressure before entering the competition the following year. In regularity as well as in touring, there is no doubt that this 5th edition will make you reach the top once again.
