The starting point of the project “Jardins House”, in são paulo, was the cobogó inserted in its façade and designed by arthur casas. the three-dimensional format of the cladding preserves the view from the inside of the house and provides privacy for the residents, a young couple with two children. the rebar wall with a hanging garden on the side of the land was designed to support the growth of vegetation, creating a pleasant green partition between the street and the house.
The façade, made of architectural concrete molded in loco, has the frame and the light fixtures built in at the time of concreting. its pigmentation required several tests to reach the ideal color. thus, the ocher pigmented concrete was the focal point for defining and choosing the color palette of other finishes and coatings, such as wood, metals and paints.
As a house with an extensive program on a small plot of land, the layout was divided into levels configured by the floors – all connected by an elevator to promote vertical circulation. an english well was also created for the entry of natural light and underground ventilation, where the garage, cellar, office, service area and square are located.
On the ground floor are an integrated living room and kitchen, restroom, barbecue area and garden. the other floors house the children’s suites, the master and guest suites. the rooftop concentrates the leisure areas, with a swimming pool and deck.
The interior design features furniture pieces by big names in national and international design, such as sérgio rodrigues, charles eames, lina bo bardi, jean gillon, ricardo fasanello, as well as pieces signed by arthur casas, such as the apache dining table, antigua coffee table, emiliano, basset and sinatra lampshades set, xingu chair, ripas chaise, and rosewood table center piece.
