With nineteen events on the programme, Peter Auto presents a 2026 season that promises to be packed and structured around several major developments. Starting this year, the Historic Racing series will adopt the new name Le Mans Classic Series, a common identity that strengthens the link with Le Mans Classic and gives it international resonance. The calendar will also include Le Mans Classic Legend from 2 to 5 July, which will offer a contemporary reinterpretation of the history of endurance racing by bringing together cars that competed between 1976 and 2015.
• 20 events scheduled for 2026
• New identity adopted for Historic Racing series: Le Mans Classic Series
• Le Mans Classic returns from 2 to 5 July in a new format: Le Mans Classic Legend
• The great Peter Auto rallies are still on the agenda: the 35th edition of the Tour Auto and the 25th edition of the Rallye des Princesses Richard Mille
• 8th edition of the Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille concours
• Launch of three new grids: o GT3 Revival Series (GT3 2006-2013, partnership with SRO Motorsports Group) o Legends of Le Mans (LMP1, LMP2 and GT prototypes from 2000-2010, partnership with ACO and LMEM) o Heritage Touring Cup 2 (HTC 2) (Group A touring cars from 1982-1992, Test Days followed by 4 inaugural events: Spa-Classic, Grand Prix de l’Ă‚ge d’Or, Dix Mille Tours and Estoril Classics)
• Collaboration between Peter Auto and Historic Sportscar Racing (HSR): participation of a Peter Auto grid (F period, GT 1962-1965) in the HSR Daytona Classic 24 Hour (November 10-15) and hosting of the Nascar Classic grid at Le Man
Alongside these new additions, the usual major events will retain their place, starting with the 35th edition of the Tour Auto, returning to the Grand Palais in Paris, and the Rallye des Princesses Richard Mille, scheduled for its 25th edition. Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille will also make its return on 6 September.
Three new series will enrich and diversify the calendar. In collaboration with SRO Motorsports Group, the GT3 Revival Series will bring together first and second generation GT3 cars, produced between 2006 and 2013, in accordance with their original specifications. This launch is a continuation of the shared history between Peter Auto and StĂ©phane Ratel, which began in 1993 with the BPR Global GT Series. For its part, the Legends of Le Mans grid, developed with the Automobile Club de l’Ouest and Le Mans Endurance Management, will showcase the LMP1, LMP2 and GT prototypes that marked the 2000s and 2010s, recalling the central role of these machines in the recent evolution of world endurance racing. Finally, Peter Auto is enriching its races with the creation of the Heritage Touring Cup 2 (HTC 2) grid, dedicated to iconic touring cars from the decade 1982-1992. This new chapter complements the original HTC by honouring models from the Group A era, symbols of the golden age of the ETCC, the early days of the DTM and Supertouring. Aimed at the large saloons and powerful sedans that marked the 1980s and 1990s, the HTC 2 will be based on specific regulations guaranteeing authenticity and diversity on the grid, with iconic models such as the BMW M3 E30, Ford Sierra Cosworth, Mercedes 190E 2.5-16, Alfa Romeo 75 Turbo, Jaguar XJS, Nissan Skyline and Chevrolet Camaro. From 2026, four inaugural events with Test Days at the beginning of the year — Spa-Classic, Grand Prix de l’Ă‚ge d’Or, Dix Mille Tours and Estoril Classics — will provide a prestigious setting for this new series, designed as a two-part saga, balancing the HTC without competing with it.
In 2026, Peter Auto will take a new step in its international expansion. In collaboration with Historic Sportscar Racing (HSR), the North American benchmark for historic racing under the auspices of IMSA, a special Peter Auto grid of cars from the F period, including iconic GTs from 1962 to 1965, will take part in the prestigious HSR Daytona Classic 24 Hour race from November 26 to 29. In return, the Nascar Classic grid will mark at Le Mans Classic Legend the 50th anniversary of the arrival of legendary Nascars such as the Dodge Charger and Ford Torino at Le Mans. This exceptional exchange will highlight the links between the two legendary endurance races: the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the 24 Hours of Daytona.
Marc Ouayoun, Managing Director of Peter Auto: “2026 will be an exceptional year for Peter Auto, marked by numerous new developments and a new international outlook. New grids, new series, and an expanded calendar will enrich our program, the result of many months of work with the teams. More than ever, Peter Auto remains synonymous with excellence, but also with innovation, always at the service of historic racing, whether touring or endurance. 2026 will also be the year of our expansion into the United States, a major step in our development. Finally, I cannot overemphasize the importance of Le Mans Classic in this calendar, an unmissable and reinvented event that continues to embody the spirit and vision of Peter Auto.”
