Mercedes-Benz 300 S Coupé
1953 – Originally delivered to Queen Wilhelmina of the Dutch Royal Family, the original upholstery has a beautiful patina and is fully preserved, technically completely overhauled by a renowned MB specialist, matching numbers and colours (Grün over Grüngrau).
“Das beste oder Nichts” (The best or nothing) remains the slogan of Mercedes-Benz and as is the case with this 300 S, it is absolutely true. In the 1950s, the Mercedes-Benz W188 300S Coupé was by far the most luxurious car on the market and boasted a quality that was unparalleled.
Lamborghini Jarama S Coupé
1972 – One of only 150 (GT)S models, presented in green metallic “Antille Verde” with black hide, in the possession of the last owner for more than 2 decades, technically completely overhauled with an upgraded braking and cooling system, original “S” version from the factory.
If we look at Lamborghini‘s history, we quickly agree with each other. The Italian brand, which started with tractors, has made amazing creations so far. Fantastic designs, beautiful engines, lots of excitement and, in short, everything is in harmony with each other. Do you remember the Lamborghini 350 GT? Lamborghini built several GTs where the engine was equipped with beautiful front-mounted V12 engines. That started with the 350 GT. Then came the 400 GT, the Islero, the wonderful Espada and then the Jarama.
Jaguar XK140 Drophead Coupé
1954 – Interesting price range, completely restored in the past, very nice driving Drophead Coupé, sophisticated colour combination of Pacific Blue with grey leather upholstery, comes with original Jaguar leaflets – manuals and JHT-Certificate, “period correct” engine.
A Jaguar XK 140 Drophead Coupé in dark blue with light leather upholstery and carpets. Somehow, it does wonders for the XK in our opinion, presenting a very stylish overall look. In 1954, Jaguar introduced the XK140. At first glance, one might say that the XK140 bears a strong resemblance to the XK120, its predecessor. However, upon closer inspection, it becomes apparent that the XK140 is a more refined car. For instance, the grille is different, and the XK140 has larger bumpers.
Alfa Romeo Giulia Super “Squadra Bianca”
1969 – Rebuilt in 2016, equipped with the 2-Litre Nord engine (high compression-168 HP/191NM), successful history in the Squadra Bianca, many parts replaced by high-quality components from the best brands.
Elegance and performance are inherently connected when we talk about the Alfa Romeo Giulia. This timeless model, introduced in 1962, has a perfect blend of style and power, with every detail covered with Italian flair.
Volkswagen Beetle 151 Convertible by Karmann
1955 – Sought after Beetle, concours-quality restoration and extensively documented, certificate from Volkswagen included, period correct colour scheme “Delphingrau – Delph (dunkel)”, the prime example of the legendary “People’s Car”.
If we ask you what the most iconic car of all time is, we are convinced that the Volkswagen Beetle will certainly rank very highly. But if we have a closer look at the Beetle and wonder why this model was (and fortunately still is) so popular, it is probably the combination of factors. First, affordability. The Kever was accessible to a large group of people. In addition, the Beetle was extremely useful. Transporting several people including luggage is no problem at all. Another factor is reliability, and the German brand has of course become very famous for this. The air-cooled engine is very robustly built, and the concept is solid. Components such as the water-cooling system with hoses, pipes and radiators were completely unnecessary. Another nice bonus: the air cooling drastically reduced the risk of frostbite on very cold days.
MG B Roadster Mk1 Rally-Race Competition
1964 – Fully rebuilt engine to 1949 cc with 135/145 bhp, also very suitable for use on public road, large history file with recent maintenance and the car’s earlier years, the MGB offers multiple opportunities for fast road use or club-level motorsport.
What else do we need to explain about the MG B? Not much, right? The British roadster is one of the most famous and popular classic open two-seater cars, and for years it was almost the standard when you thought of a classic roadster. The beautifully lined B was presented in 1962 and symbolizes the affordable English classic roadster.
Porsche 944 “Rothmans-Dakar”
1986 – A comprehensively modified example, built for on- and off-road use, a Paris-Dakar winning Rothmans 959 tribute, originally delivered in Alpine White (L90E), undergone a meticulous programme of modifications, built with impressive attention to detail, excellently documented.
The Porsche 944 has rightfully earned its place in the Porsche segment. According to many, the 944 has a significantly better handling compared to the 911 of that time, partly due to the perfect weight distribution of 50% front and 50% rear. Porsche achieved this in part by placing the gearbox at the rear. Porsche produced the 944 between 1982 and 1991, and the model is seen as an era of innovation and sporting performance for the German car brand. As the successor to the iconic 924, the 944 brought a series of improvements, including a more powerful engine, enhanced driving characteristics, and a redesigned exterior, exuding modernity and sportiness.
Ferrari California 4.3
2010 – Ferrari dealer and renowned specialist maintained, correct maintenance history, leather Ferrari folder with all booklets present, executed in “Grigio Silverstone over Cuoio leather”, this is truly a well cared California Spider by the previous owner, delivered new in Belgium.
When we think of Ferrari and California, we must honestly admit that the thoughts immediately go to the Ferrari 250 GT California Spider. But we also admit that this California is truly fantastic. A wonderful Ferrari, and we are pleased to have one in the collection at Gallery Aaldering.
