Pininfarina morphed into a standalone carmaker when it introduced the Battista hypercar, but its design division remains active. Its latest project is a limited-edition, V-12-powered hypercar called Vittori Turbio.

Don’t worry if you’ve never heard of Vittori before; It is a newly established company with roots in both Italy and the United States. On paper, its first model certainly has what it takes to stand out in an increasingly crowded segment. Limited to 50 units, the Turbio is powered by a 1,100-horsepower hybrid drivetrain built around a proprietary V-12 engine designed by an Italian engineering firm called Italtecnica.
Hitting 60 mph from a stop takes about 2.5 seconds, according to the company. Keeping such a massive amount of power in check requires advanced aerodynamics and a seriously powerful cooling system, and that’s where Pininfarina stepped in. The brand eschewed park bench-sized wings and gaping air intakes to give the coupe a relatively smooth silhouette while meeting the drivetrain’s technical requirements.

Inside, there’s a digital instrument cluster and a touchscreen for the infotainment system, but you’ll also find buttons and switches. This reflects a big trend in the hypercar segment: Buyers want an analog car.
And yet, the Turbio isn’t entirely defined by old-school craftsmanship. It will offer carbon-ceramic brakes, adaptive magnetic ride control technology, and a long list of carbon fiber parts, and several of its chassis and body parts will be manufactured using an artificial intelligence-powered 3D printer. Keep in mind that these specs remain largely theoretical: Launching a new car brand is difficult and stunningly expensive, and Vittori still has numerous hoops to jump through before it announces its first customer-bound car.
More information about the Vittori Turbio will be revealed when the model makes its debut later this month in Miami. The car will be built by Pininfarina in Italy, and it is expected to carry a seven-digit price tag. In the meantime, Vittori has already announced plans to expand into even more ambitious ventures, including the eVTOL and electric private aviation sectors.
