The Richard Mille Princesses’ Rally is a 100% female event dedicated to women who are passionate lovers of collector cars and motor sport. This regularity rally has been held for more than 20 years on the most beautiful roads of France and it brings together exceptional women around a single passion: the motor car. This year, it will take place between 29th May and 3rd June 2021 starting from Paris and finishing in La Baule by way of the sublime North-West coast!
They are the veterans of the field and their age only accentuates their beauty like a fine vintage. But who are they? Answer: a Citroën Traction 15, a Porsche 356 and a Daimler-Benz 300. These three beautiful cars are aged 68 and 67. Magnificent! And who are the heroines who will drive these historic vehicles to their final destination? Spotlight on three crews…+
Citroën Traction 15
A mother and daughter crew is at the wheel of this French car dating from 1953. Here passion is about passing on tradition. After taking part with her sister in 2019, this year Sylvie Breuillon-Grisez will be at the start with her young daughter, Diane, who has known the beautiful Traction since the age of 12 and even did a few hours of accompanied driving at its wheel! A marvellous family story to be followed throughout the rally on social media.
Porsche 356 Speedster
Nathalie Breittmayer is back for the second time, but this year she’s changed car and co-driver! She has entered a sublime Porsche 356 from 1954 and will be accompanied by Manon Lapoumeyroulie. In addition to being among the oldest cars in the rally, this Porsche is a rarity for several reasons: It is one of the first Speedsters made in 1954 and is part of the 1234 pre-A versions produced (out of 4145 Speedsters). Its crimson paintwork is a real eye-catcher!
Daimler-Benz 300
In 1951, Mercedes-Benz unveiled its big limousine powered by a 3-litre 6-cylinder overhead camshaft engine that was the base of a future motoring legend, the 300 SL. At the time it was also called “Adenauer” in homage to the German Chancellor who used it regularly. It was available in several bodywork styles and this car has been entered in its 300 c configuration putting out 125 cv that propels it to 160 km/h! It will be driven by the dynamic duo of German gentlewomen, Alexandra Seidl and Ursula Ritter, who are making their debut in this event.
