Following the different governmental outbreaks devoted to the COVID-19 decision and for the good of all the spectators and participants, Peter Auto and all its partners have taken the decision to postpone the Dix Mille Tours du Castellet meeting (originally scheduled on the 4th and 5th of April) to the 25th and 26th of July 2020 and the Tour Auto Optic 2000 until September. Thus, the rally will take place between 31st August and 5th September 2020. Its programme, its duration and its route (towns, circuits, special stages) remain unchanged. Postponing these events appear like a necessity to make the most of the events and thus avoid any health risks.
Patrick Peter : “With just a few weeks to go to the Dix Mille Tours we share the deep disappointment of all the fans who were really looking forward to this event as well as that of the drivers and our partners. I assure you that, nevertheless, the Dix Mille Tours will not fail to shine in July in an atmosphere that will be more serene for all!”
Patrick Peter : “The adventure of the Tour Auto Optic 2000 is nothing without all the people who put their trust in us – drivers, partners, spectators and also all our volunteers. Thus, the postponement of this great event became unavoidable to allow us to live our passion again in complete safety in September. This isn’t the first occasion on which the rally has been held in this period as several runnings of the Tour de France Automobile (1951-1986) also took place during the month of September.”
