Motorsport Legends Coming To Race Retro

Race Retro, Europe’s premier historic motorsport show, is thrilled to announce an unparalleled lineup of racing legends appearing on the Talk Motorsport stage for its 2025 edition. Taking place from 21 to 23 February at Warwickshire’s Stoneleigh Park, this year’s event promises to be a monumental gathering for motorsport enthusiasts.

Renowned Formula 1 driver and 2014 World Endurance Champion, Anthony Davidson will make his Race Retro debut on Saturday, sharing insights from his illustrious career, spanning F1 circuits to endurance racing triumphs.

He will be joined by Matt Neal and Jason Plato. Fierce rivals in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC), Neal and Plato will come together to discuss their storied careers and give their ‘differing’ version of events on the on-track battles that have captivated fans for decades.

A stalwart in British motorsport, Ian ‘Fluxie’ Flux’s diverse racing portfolio includes single-seaters, touring cars, and GT racing. Visitors on Saturday and Sunday can look forward to tales from his extensive time on the track and will have the chance to buy his new book.

Throughout the three-day event, a trio of Rally legends will also be gracing the stage, both inside and out. Always popular with the crowds, the ‘Rally Professor’ Rauno Aaltonen returns to Stoneleigh Park. The Finnish rally driver, who competed in the World Rally Championship throughout the 1970s, will share stories in the halls and demonstrate why he’s a master of his craft on the Live Rally Stage.

Rauno is joined by Welsh rally icons Nicky Grist and Dai Llewellin. Co-driver Grist, who famously sat alongside the late great Colin McRae, and driver Llewellin, a two-time British Rally Champion, will delve into their experiences in the rallying world, highlighting the challenges and victories that defined their careers. Dai and his son Tom will also be showcasing their skills behind the wheel.

Visitors can also enjoy interviews with racing driver Mike Wilds, who celebrates 60 years in motorsport this year, and World record holder Donald Wales, the grandson of Sir Malcolm Campbell MBE and the nephew of Donald Campbell CBE, who between them broke more than 20 World Land and Water Speed Records.

The line-up is completed by award winning motorsport authors whose work celebrates some of the biggest names in racing and rallying.

Join us to ‘Talk Motorsport’ in Hall 3 at Race Retro 2025 for a celebration of motorsport’s rich history and the legends who have shaped it.
