Motor Racing Legends welcomed the prestigious Pre ’63 GT series to its portfolio of historic race series two seasons ago where it remains unrivalled as the home of iconic GT cars from the late ‘50s and early ‘60s.
Owners of the ‘crème de la crème’ of racing machinery can race in the series with confidence, with respect for the history of the cars and a gentlemanly driving conduct remaining core to the ethos of the series at Motor Racing Legends Pre ’63 GT. The Royal Automobile Club are also proudly associated with the grid and a selection panel from the Club oversee eligibility to the Series.
Pre ’63 GT has also received long-term support from DK Engineering, James Cottingham and Harvey Stanley are familiar faces on the grid.
The first race of the 2021 season for Pre ’63 GT will be at the Thruxton Historic on 12th – 13th June Drivers thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of the Hampshire circuit – which draws similarities with Goodwood – at last year’s event and we have already received a significant number of entries from many of the top historic drivers with cars including a squad of Austin-Healeys, Aston Martin DB4GT, Morgan, Lotus Elite, Reliant Sabre Six, Turner and a host of Jaguar E-Types in Pre ’63 wire-wheel specification.
Entries are still open for this important 60-minute race which will set the bar ahead of the headline Royal Automobile Club Historic Tourist Trophy race at The Classic, Silverstone on 30th July – 1st August. Places on this highly coveted grid are in high-demand, with the winners receiving the highly prestigious Royal Automobile Club Historic Tourist Trophy, presented at a special luncheon at the Club’s Pall Mall headquarters in London. Entries are very much open and prospective entrants are encouraged to commit to this distinguished race in good time to avoid disappointment.
