The Mediterranean coast with a special glamour!
April 21. – 30.2023
Who has not dreamed of the incredible blue sea, the splendor of luxurious cities and beautiful islands. The Mediterranean combines all this – the sea with idyllic landscape panoramas, charming villages and varied routes.
Arrival via Milan* / Day 1 / April 21st
For some of the participants the tour starts at their doorstep, for all other participants the start is in Milan. While the self-drivers are still on the road, the second group arrives at the airport in Milan. From here we will go to our fancy hotel, where the transported vehicles are waiting for us. In Milan we will also spend the night, have dinner and after breakfast start the next day towards Monaco.
Day 2 / April 22nd
On the second day, we are looking at a real highlight as our meeting point and accommodation: the newly opened luxury Hotel Maybourne Riviera in Monaco. Majestically enthroned like an eagle’s nest above the picturesque village of Roquebrune-Cap-Martin in the spectacular rocky landscape of the Grande Corniche, a mountain road built by Napoleon that winds almost 500 meters above sea level. The view is sensational, stretching all the way to Italy, across Monte Carlo and Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat over pine trees, beaches and the endless blue of the Mediterranean. Highlights of the property include artwork scattered throughout the hotel and top-notch dining with panoramic terraces. Even in a place like Monaco, the luxury hotel can’t be surpassed!
Day 3 / April 23rd
After breakfast we go directly to Riva Boat Service. The legendary boat builder Riva operates a special service station in the Principality of Monaco: in a hundred-meter-long tunnel blasted into the rock below the princely seat. Here we will have a guided tour by a member of the Riva family. In the afternoon we leave Monaco in the direction of Nice port. At 8 pm the loading of the ferry starts; dinner will be in a restaurant on the ferry. Departure time is about 11 pm and after about nine hours we reach the port of Calvi in the morning.
Day 4 / April 24th
After arriving in Calvi, this picturesque harbor town offers everything that makes a Mediterranean vacation unforgettable. The small port town on the northwest coast of Corsica is one of the hot spots of the Mediterranean island, because of its citadel, its beautiful old town and its picturesque harbor. From here the route takes us along the coast towards Ajaccio, the largest city in Corsica, where we will have a traditional lunch. Napoleon’s homeland delights with rugged coastlines, picturesque villages and gorgeous views. The route ends at the hotel near Porto Vecchio and here the day ends in one of our favorite restaurants. Not far from the hotel, you sit in the open restaurant with a beautiful ocean view.
Day 5 / April 25th
The next morning, after breakfast, we leave for Bonifacio. Surrounded by the deep blue sea – built on a promontory, whose limestone cliffs rise steeply from the sea, the old town of Bonifacio has largely preserved its late medieval townscape with narrow stairways and offers a lot of culture and variety. A stroll through the steep streets of the town is always rewarded with fantastic panoramic views of the overhanging houses, the white cliffs and the natural harbor. Sometimes our next destination, the coast of Sardinia, appears on the horizon. The ferry departs around 1 pm and a few hours later reaches the port of Santa Teresa in Sardinia.
Sardinia, with its impressive landscape, its original flora and fauna as well as the pleasant 20C° in April makes it to one of the most special destinations in Europe. Arriving at the port our tip is: Italian café! And fresh Cornetto con Crema! Thus strengthened, we will guide you on winding roads to the vicinity of Porto Cervo to our hotel on the Costa Smeralda. The Costa Smeralda offers everything your heart desires: small villages, dreamy bays with golden sand and a crystal-clear Mediterranean Sea. And in April only very few tourists! On the first evening we dine at Italo Bassi, one of the few Michelin-starred Sardinian chefs.
Day 6 / April 26th
After breakfast at the hotel, with the first rays of sunshine on our faces, we drive to direction Cagliari. After our lunch break, in the afternoon our ferry departs in the direction of the Italian mainland. Overnight stay and dinner are on the ferry.
Day 7 / April 27th
In the course of the morning, we reach the port of Naples. After checking out we still have time for something special. In nostalgic carriages of the funicular railway, we ride up to the noble district of Vomero. Once there, it is only a stone’s throw to the city’s most beautiful vantage point, Castel Sant’Elmo. Once you’ve experienced the view over the city, Mount Vesuvius and the Gulf of Naples in the late afternoon, one is convinced: Naples must be seen. Sorry, but the visit to Pompeii will have to wait until next time. For the evening we meet we meet in our hotel near Sorrento.
Day 8 / April 28th
At the end of our trip, it will be once more extraordinary – and curvy. We want to cruise on the Strada Statale Amalfitana from Sorrento to Amalfi, a route that quickens the pulse. Even if the previous tour with beautiful and most beautiful views, curves and experiences, here we experience once again a highlight. Above us imposing cliffs, below the sparkling Thyrrhenian Sea and postcard-like towns with their historic village centers embedded in the picturesque landscape. Much has been said and written about this route, but there is nothing better than experiencing it for yourself. For those who drive our route a little faster, the afternoon is free.
Day 9 / April 29th
After breakfast we start from the idyllic Amalfi Coast via highway and expressway towards Tuscany. Through the first foothills of Tuscany, along renowned wineries, the route leads us to our hotel. This is near Perugia. Here we can then enjoy typical Italian cuisine and fine wines and let the journey come to a pleasant end.
Day 10 / April 30th – departure*
The last day of our trip starts at the hotel with a breakfast, the first group is off to the airport and the self-drivers make their way back home. Thus, ends dreamlike days in the circle like-minded people – a tour that offered something very special.

On our own account:
Since Corona, we have been rushing from one crisis to the next. This has consequences for all of us. In addition to drastically increased costs for hotels and restaurants, it has also become significantly more difficult to ensure timely commitments and reliable planning. This is an unsatisfactory situation for us organizers. We have tried to gather as much information as possible at this point in time, because one thing is important to us: your safety, satisfaction and enjoyment in the tour! Thank you for your understanding.
