1963-2011
For nearly 50 years, Lamborghini used a V12 engine designed by Giotto Bizzarrini. It evolved from a 3.5L in the 350GT to a 6.5L in the Murciélago SV, with power rising from 270 to 670 hp.
7.3 liter
In the late 1990s, Mercedes-Benz equipped its luxurious SL (R129) with a 7.3L V12 engine producing 525 hp. Despite its understated look, the SL73 AMG outperformed rivals like the Lamborghini Diablo and Ferrari 550 Maranello. To this day, this engine powers all of Pagani’s hypercars.
