Restored and overhauled while preserving originality
This particular Islero is a fantastic example because it flawlessly combines two aspects: first, the car was thoroughly restored and overhauled with attention to detail, and the results of this work are evident in every aspect. Second, the interior was left as untouched as possible, and therefore, the interior of this Islero is largely original and in incredibly beautiful condition.
Extensive documentation available
The documentation is impressive, extensively detailing both the restoration work and maintenance. A look at the invoices quickly reveals that more than 140,000 euros were invested in the restoration over a period of six years. In very good condition
This purebred Italian is at a top level thanks to its restoration. After a professional rebuild, the paint has been resprayed in a very beautiful manner. The elegant bodywork with its flowing lines is exceptionally sleek, and due to the meticulous restoration, the wheels, windows, and rubber seals are all in very good and beautiful condition. Looking at the interior, Gallery Aaldering can be brief: it is largely original and incredibly beautiful. The leather upholstery of the seats is still in good condition. Just take a look at the dashboard and the stunning instrumentation.
How does this Islero drive? In one word: amazing! The powerful V12 engine with 320 hp brings you up to speed in the blink of an eye, and thanks to the overhaul work, every corner you take is a new symphony of speed and sensation. The V12 sounds wonderful, and the shifting is precise. It is truly a pleasure to be on the road with this Islero.
Rare and Ferruccio’s favorite
The cars of Ferruccio Lamborghini are legendary. Of course, many enthusiasts know the Lamborghini Miura, in Gallery Aaldering’s opinion one of the most beautiful cars ever built and the symbol of bellezza (beauty), potenza (power), and exclusivity. And then there is the Lamborghini Islero. With only 225 examples built and essentially the same V12 engine, the Islero is, in Gallery Aaldering’s opinion, a capolavoro (masterpiece) of Ferruccio.
Gallery Aaldering weren’t there themselves, but from their literature, it appears that Ferruccio was closely involved in the design, and rumor has it that the Islero was his personal favorite. As car enthusiasts, it’s fantastic to see an Islero and an Espada side by side. Fortunately, Gallery Aaldering have the privilege of having both in their showroom, and they immediately notice how clean the Islero is designed compared to the Espada.
