This Alfa Romeo first arrived on the roads on the 26th August 1948 in Geneva, Switzerland. Until 1989 the car only knew a few Swiss owners, who lavished the car with TLC. The last Swiss owner arranged for the car to be fully restored by a top Swiss expert from 1976 to 1979. In 1989 the car was sold to a German gentleman who would go on to kept the car for another 30 years. He mainly used the car for a number of long trips to join in celebrations related to Alfa Romeo and the 6C 2500 in particular.

The Alfa Romeo never once let him down. Of course, good expert maintenance played its part as well a number of upgrades that enhanced the car’s reliability and it transport on a trailer to the various events. The upgrades included the fitting of an electric fan and a modern alternator.

The car is in wonderful condition. The Touring bodywork has of course been manufactured using the “Superleggera” method. The fine bodywork sports nice and thin, correctly aligned panelwork. The blue external finish is in a good state with only a few minor blemishes. The interior has been reupholstered, keeping close to the original concept and even has a period-correct radio.

The Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 is a large car. The long-wheelbase affording it a rather comfortable ride and creates the perfect touring vehicle. The 2.5 straight-six suits the car’s character down to the ground. When driving you readily appreciate this Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Touring Coupé  has been used on a regular basis. This kind of car simply drives better with regular use. The engine is attached to a manual 4-speed gearbox. The gears shift effortlessly through the range with a gear ratio that perfectly suits the car’s character. This good road handling is also thanks to excellent maintenance. This is a high-quality car and despite its 73 years of age this Italian beauty has quite modest mileage of just 92,460 km on the clock.

The present document contains some correspondence between two previous owners confirming the accuracy of the mileage. Furthermore, the old Swiss registration papers show the small number of owners. There are also old photos, notes and naturally a plethora of invoices present.

The company has been in Brummen since 1987 and started on the location where they currently have their second workshop and detailing shop. Nico started very small, with only three employees.
