RARE-SPHERE entered its next phase at the “rollin.events_Motortag” at the Salzburgring from May 30 to June 1, 2025. In partnership with flat6ranch in Zell am See and Hans-Peter Porsche’s Traumwerk in Anger, the new format made an impressive showing at the Salzburgring.
The third edition of the “holiday for motorsport and tuning fans” is the youngest event in Europe on a race track in terms of the age of the audience. “This is exactly our target group,” says Chiara Aichele, explaining the commitment to the Austrian race track. The RARE.SPHERE co-founder continues: “For the first time, we brought the digital and real worlds together on a race track. In and in front of our 350-square-meter community tent, we once again provided a place where the young automotive scene could meet and exchange ideas. The chance, inspiring encounters – across generations, of course – play a central role for us.”
RARE.SPHERE is a platform that brings together a wide variety of communities. The communities use social networks to determine what’s hot, which models they love, and which manufacturers they appreciate. These vehicles represent the spirit of the times and tastes of the younger generation.
Racing cars based on the Porsche 911, which RARE.SPHERE 2.0 put in the spotlight – above all the brand-new 911 GT3 R racing car – have such media power. The 620 hp racing car is flanked in the line-up by three Porsche 935s, one in Gulf livery, one in the Vaillant version, and one as a reminder of the 1970 Le Mans victory, i.e., in the Team Salzburg look. The essence of these racing-derived cars was made visible by the Porsche 935 K2 Kremer – also in the livery of heating manufacturer Vaillant. Extreme motorsport genes for the road were impressively presented by a Porsche 918 Spyder with 887 hp system output, which also was on display. Its chassis and outer skin are made of carbon fiber, meaning it is not based on the 911.
Additional highlights were the “Kamm 912” and the “Pepita,” which was created in collaboration with restoration specialist Early911S based on a 1966 911 S as a RARE.SPHERE ambassador with the special theme “60 Years of Pepita.”
The novelty: RARE.SPHERE, in partnership with flat6ranch and Traumwerk, is bringing the racing cars and ten other registered community vehicles to life with all the senses. The vehicles took to the 4.2-kilometer track for presentation runs. An additional highlight on Saturday evening was a photo shoot on the start-and-finish line. Tobias Aichele positioned ten selected vehicles on the asphalt. “In the spirit of our first appearance at Retro Classics three months ago, when all the vehicles were on concrete ramps,” as the RARE.SPHERE co-founder emphasized.
