The company celebrated 20 years of book publishing in 2025 and has published close to 150 motorsport and classic car titles in that time. The list of those who have written forewords for Porter Press is a positive Who’s Who of the motoring and wider worlds.

As a dyed-in-the-wool historic vehicle enthusiast, Mark’s own fleet currently ranges from a 1927 Model T Ford to a 1970 Rover 3500S. He’s a great advocate of using classics and likes nothing better than a long road trip, an enthusiasm that was partly kindled by co-driving a Series III Land Rover to Iraq when he was just out of university.

I feel we’re very much on the same wavelength when it comes to creating beautiful and authoritative books, and I can’t wait to get involved.’
