Hailing from opposite sides of the world, one in the UK and the other in Australia, their paths converged in Canada, and their love blossomed in the vibrant city of Madrid. The inspiration for their venture struck when Molly, one half of the couple, arrived in London with boundless energy and a distinct lack of proper nightwear. A quest to find suitable pyjamas proved futile, sparking the idea for a dedicated pyjama company. Thus, Desmond & Dempsey was born, named in homage to their grandfathers.
Initially focusing on women’s pyjamas, the brand expanded its repertoire to encompass men’s and kids’ collections, along with an array of home essentials such as slippers, socks, and luxurious robes.

Inspired by life experiences — be it a Mexican tale, a Spanish palm, or the powerful imagery of a tiger — these prints are meticulously created in the brand’s London studio. The final products, including the hand-cut and sewn pyjamas, are crafted from organic cotton in Portugal.
