Rolf Versen, born in 1949, a humanist with petrol in my blood, who loves and appreciates „everything that hums”, whether on water, on land and in the air. After his popular books about the Mille Miglia, Tour Auto, Trofeo Baleares and DTM, there followed 20 years of literary pause, during which he produced, among other things, a documentary film series with 15 episodes of 30 minutes each for Motorvision, which aired on Sky under the title SiebenMeere TV , and for which he sailed almost half the world.

Now he has taken up the pen again. The occasion was the sale of his Cobra COB 6043 after almost 50 years. A Life in Motion is the motto by which he describes the development of the automobile in the period after 1949 from very personal experience. The peculiarities, special features, quirks and joys of the vehicles mentioned are vividly described and illustrated.
Of course, COB 6043 plays a leading role, especially as racing was a beloved hobby and the power beast was the ideal vehicle for it. Let yourself be enchanted, seduced and immerse yourself in the world of the automobile, for enjoyment without regret, just for pleasure…
