…now At A New Location At Rittergut Birkhof!
When the event moved in 2022 from the picturesque Schloss Dyck to Green Park, many fans felt the magic was lost. The new venue —a parking-area-turned-event-space— lacked the elegance, scenic beauty, and historic aura of the original site.
The following year the event had to be cancelled because the organizer, Classic Days e.V., had not received the necessary official permits and plan figures in time – an absolute must for large events with more than 5,000 visitors.
But what a revival this year! Classic Days came back, now at Rittergut Birkhof, not very far from the original place at Schloss Dyck. The new location, with its manor house, parkland, tree-lined avenues surrounded by a well maintained golf course provided again a romantic, green backdrop. Visitors could picnic on lawns, wander between displays, and enjoy a relaxed, almost garden-party feel.
A 2.6 km demonstration track hosted runs with historic race cars, motorcycles, and museum legends. Themed areas such as Nostalgic Journeys (vintage camping), Lovely Heroes (postwar classics), the Benjafield Racing Club Bentleys, Stars & Stripes (American icons), and Charme & Style kept the experience diverse and engaging. A challenging off road course has been created for test drives with the newest 4wheel machinery.
Rare and spectacular vehicles were shown, like a Delahaye race car with an aircraft engine, a historic Bentley also powered by an aero engine (Rolls Royce Merlin), the Wisconsin Special, and the VW W30 prototype running for the first time. Volkswagen’s debut of the ID. 1 electric car linked the event to the future of mobility.
It wasn’t just a car show — it was a curated, multi-sensory time-travel experience in a stunning location, enriched with famous faces, cultural icons, and a nod to the future.
