In 2025, Porter Press International celebrated 20 years of publishing top quality motoring and motorsport books. Formed by Philip Porter, who has written around 35 books himself, the company is honoured to work with a number of the world’s leading authors, such as Doug Nye, Peter Stevens, Keith Bluemel, Ian Wagstaff and Richard Heseltine.
A number of the books have been short-listed and won Book of the Year awards in the UK and Germany. Apart from bespoke titles, PPI has developed several series, including Great Cars (19 published so far and two more being written), Exceptional Cars and the multi-volume Ultimate series, the latest of which is the second volume, of four, on the GT40.
Titles to be published in 2026 include Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa Competzione/355 – Chassis 0744 by Doug Nye, Ultimate Ferrari 365 GTB/4 by Luca dal Monte and Simon Charlesworth, Bugatti Atlantic by Julius Kruta with Pierre Yves Laugier and Mark Morris, BRM Vol 4 by Doug Nye, Ultimate Jaguar C-type by Chas Parker, Terry Larson and Philip Porter, Ultimate GT40 Vol 3 by Graham Endeacott, Mark Cole and John S Allen, Luigi Chinetti – His saga, Alfa Romeo, NART and Ferrari in America by Doug Nye and Luigi Chinetti, Ultimate Ferrari 275 by Arnaud Meunier and Simon Charlesworth, and Great Cars series books on an ex-Nuvolari Alfa 8C by Peter Moss and the Bentley 3-litre YF 2503, with great Le Mans history, by Simon Hucknall.
Most of these books will also be available as hand-bound Collector’s Editions.
