Car enthusiasts eagerly await the weekend of Friday, November 15, Saturday, November 16, and Sunday, November 17, 2024, when Brussels’ Heyzel Palaces 4, 5, 6, and the Patio will host the 9th edition of InterClassics Brussels. Covering over 40,000 square meters of young and classic cars, as well as supercars, it is one of the largest indoor car shows.
This year, InterClassics Brussels celebrates the 110th anniversary of the Italian luxury sports car brand Maserati. From an exclusive James Bond car once driven by Roger Moore to an impressive collection of Barnfind Classics and pre-war vehicles, all this and more await at InterClassics Brussels.
Nearly 27,000 visitors attended last year’s record-breaking event, and many cars found new owners. On Saturday, November 16, 2024, from 8 to 10 a.m., the popular Radio2 program “De Weekwatchers” will broadcast live from the show floor with Ruben Van Gucht, also viewable on VRT 1. The nomination of InterClassics Brussels for the “Best Historic Motoring Event,” the highest honor in the classic car world, set to be awarded in England at the Historic Motoring Awards, is the icing on the cake.
Maserati
With strong pre-sales and new exhibitors, the InterClassics legacy continues to grow. Not only in Maastricht but also in Brussels, it is the must-attend show for car enthusiasts, families, and collectors alike. “The celebration of Maserati, the luxury and sports car brand celebrating its 110th anniversary, is this year’s central theme. The Maserati exhibition, presented in grand style, delves into the history and background of this iconic brand. We are showcasing about 20 iconic sports and racing cars, collectively valued at nearly 40 million euros,” says InterClassics Manager Erik Panis.
Top level
In addition to Maserati, InterClassics Brussels offers a top-notch lineup. “On the weekend of November 15, 16, and 17, 2024, InterClassics Brussels will feature a breathtaking collection of Maserati vehicles. Thanks to partnerships with various auto importers, we once again have an impressive selection. Lotus, Donkervoort, KTM, Alpina, and Aston Martin are joining us, along with D’Ieteren’s collection, which includes Bentley, Lamborghini, Porsche, as well as Skoda, Microlino, Bugatti, Seat, Volkswagen, and Audi,” says Erik Panis.
James Bond
InterClassics offers an even more diverse selection of cars than ever. Among the gleaming vehicles is one driven by former James Bond actor Roger Moore. Particularly notable is the extensive Barnfinds stand from the United States, presented by Rudi Joris of JWS Classic Cars in Palace 5, complete with dust and straw bales. Historic Competition Service from Wommelgem, Antwerp, will fill its largest booth to date with pre-war cars and historic racing cars once driven by famous racers.
Christine Beckers
A major highlight will be the race cars of former Belgian rally driver “Christine” Beckers. Thanks to a partnership with Auto Club Ouest, the public will see three exclusive cars raced by Christine, including Thierry Boutsen’s Arrows Formula 1 car, which made her the oldest driver to race an F1 car.
Best Historic Motoring Event
InterClassics Brussels is honored and proud to be nominated for the “Best Historic Motoring Event.” “In the classic car world, this is the most prestigious award, presented annually in London at the Historic Motoring Awards. This is the first time a Belgian car show has been mentioned alongside the likes of Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in California, Rétromobile in Paris, and Salon Privé in Oxfordshire. We owe the nomination to last year’s ‘100 Years of Le Mans’ theme, highlighted with a replica of the iconic circuit in the Patio. This year, we focus on Maserati’s 110th anniversary. While we remain realistic, it would be incredible to win the ‘Best Historic Motoring Event’ award,” says Erik Panis. The award ceremony takes place shortly after InterClassics Brussels.
Ruben van Gucht
Get in the mood for the 9th InterClassics Brussels by tuning into Radio Bene, where car enthusiast Guy De Pré previews the stories behind the cars. On Saturday, November 16, 2024, Radio2 will broadcast live from the show floor with “De Weekwatchers.” Ruben Van Gucht will host renowned guests, and listeners can join in for breakfast among the classic cars. The broadcast will be live on both radio and VRT 1 television.
Experience
“At InterClassics Brussels, the focus is on experience. The BEHVA association will again have a dedicated village spotlighting current topics. On Thursday evening, the show begins with an exclusive Preview Night. Alongside Brussels’ two-star chef David Martin, we’ll enjoy a special dinner surrounded by the most beautiful classic cars. It’s a top event that grows every year. That’s also the overall trend – InterClassics continues to invest, bringing together a broader audience with the best exhibitors. For enthusiasts, connoisseurs, and families, we are the ultimate destination for those who love cars with character and a storied history,” says Erik Panis.
Private Sellers
The increasingly popular private sales section is back. In collaboration with Youcar.be, cars up to 2005 will be offered in Palace 4. For a fee, you can still list your car for sale during the show, with a few spots still available.
