Preparations for the 2025 Goodwood motorsport season are in full swing, and the Revival is already taking shape as more details emerge about the upcoming event. In addition to key attractions such as the VW Campers Track Opening Parade and the Alfa Romeo Celebration, the official Revival timetable now provides precise scheduling for these highlights on the Motor Circuit.
Following last year’s successful trial, all three days of historic motorsport at the Revival will be powered exclusively by sustainable fuels once again, as Goodwood continues to help carry the torch for global motorsport and ensure a stable future for this stunning event.
Friday timetable at the 2025 Goodwood Revival
The Track Opening Parade will feature a fleet of original VW Type 2 Campers, kicking off all three days of the Revival in a vibrant and entertaining manner at precisely 09:00. This spectacle perfectly captures the essence of this remarkable event.
The historic motorsport will get underway once the VWs have left the track, and the opening session of the day will see the 1950s sportscars of the Freddie March Memorial Trophy head out for the first time for their Official Practice session at 09:30.
Then it’ll be the first two-wheeled action of the weekend when the bikes of Barry Sheene Memorial Trophy complete their first session at 10:20. The VIP drivers of the St. Mary’s Trophy will be out next at 11:05 for their 20-minute chance to get a grip on their ‘50s tin tops.
Friday afternoon will begin with Official Practice for the pre-war Grand Prix and Voiturette cars of the Goodwood Trophy, a race that reimagines the kind of competition that would have headlined early race meetings at the Motor Circuit in 1948, at 12:05. That’s followed by the first 1960s action of the weekend when the Mustangs, Elan 26Rs and Alfa TZ1s head out for Practice in the Fordwater Trophy at 12:35.
The tiny sportscars of the Madgwick Cup will be out at 13:10 before the fastest cars of the weekend are unleashed for Whitsun Trophy Practice at 13:40. Then, from brute force to poise and beauty, the closed-cockpit GTs of the Stirling Moss Memorial Trophy get their first action at 14:10, followed by the Formula Juniors of the Chichester Cup at 14:50.
At 15:25, there will be a moment to pause and appreciate the Alfa Romeo Celebration, featuring a breathtaking parade of the marque’s most iconic and successful racing cars from 1925 to 1975. Shortly afterward, at 15:45, the excitement will heighten as the Formula 1 action begins with the Richmond & Gordon Trophies.
Things will get serious for just a moment shortly afterwards, when the big guns come out for the RAC TT Celebration’s first Official Practice session of the weekend at 16:15, before the Glover Trophy closes the F1 sandwich at 16:50.
Friday evening will begin with our first glimpse of the beautiful ‘50s World Championship sportscars of the Sussex Trophy at 17:20, before the second part of St. Mary’s Trophy Practice at 17:50. The sun will set as the flag drops for the first race of the 2025 Revival, the hour-long Freddie March Memorial Trophy, at 18:30.
Saturday timetable at the 2025 Goodwood Revival
Day two of the Revival will begin once again with a parade of VW Campers before a full day of racing action gets underway at 09:35 with the Goodwood Trophy. Second practice for the RAC TT Celebration at 10:10 will be the final chance for a star-studded field of drivers to hone their setups ahead of the race on Sunday, before Barry Sheene Memorial Trophy Part 1 kicks off at 11:05.
The first part of arguably the most important race of the weekend follows at 11:45, as the Austin J40s of the Settrington Cup line up on the Grid for the annual pedal car race, and once the chaos has been cleared the Fordwater Trophy will begin at 12:30.
A race that always delivers is Part 1 of the St. Mary’s Trophy, which will start at 14:30 before the Madgwick Cup at 15:25 and the second Alfa Romeo parade at 16:10. Then Saturday evening will be rounded off with the Whitsun Trophy at 16:40, before the 45-minute Stirling Moss Memorial Trophy begins at 17:35 to bring an end to day two.
Sunday timetable at the 2025 Goodwood Revival
After two days packed with action, Sunday at Revival will need to be good, and the Chichester Cup will follow the VW Campers to get the day off to an excitable start at 09:35. The Richmond & Gordon Trophies follow at 10:30 before Part 2 of the Settrington Cup will see the overall winner crowned at 11:20.
The Alfa Romeo Celebration will grace the Motor Circuit for the final time at 11:50, and Sunday afternoon’s racing action will begin with the return of the Barry Sheene Memorial Trophy at 12:20.
Then it’s the big one, the RAC TT Celebration will bring all the noise at 14:30 for an hour-long showpiece, followed, as is tradition, by the Glover Trophy at 15:55. Sunday evening will be drawn to a close with the second part of the St. Mary’s Trophy at 17:10, and the final race of the 2025 Revival, the Sussex Trophy, at 18:00.
The event promises to be another extraordinary spectacle, filled with legendary motorsport figures returning to a venue rich in history. The Goodwood Revival is truly one of a kind, and anticipation is already building for its return in 2025.
