Graber Sportgarage is offering this Jaguar D-Type (Proteus) for sale.
A wonderful and near perfect replica built by Proteus
History:
After the Le Mans victories in 1951 and 1953 with the C-Type – or XK 120 C – Jaguar entered the legendary 24-hour race at the Sarthe in 1954 with the D-Type, which was futuristic by the standards of the time. For the first time, the curved body, which was as beefy as it was sleek, was self-supporting. As a result, the extremely aerodynamic and lightweight roadster was equipped with a 3.4 L six-cylinder engine with 260 hp.
This resulted in three consecutive victories in the 24H of Le Mans race (1955, 1956 and 1957). By 1957, 71 Jaguar D-Types have been produced.
