The Jaguar XK 150 is probably the epitome of a real British sports car. As the spearhead of the XK series and the immediate predecessor of the legendary E-Type, the XK 150 set new standards with its performance data. In 1958, the 3.4-liter “S version” produced an incredible 254 hp. Initially only available as a coupé (FHC) and convertible (DHC), the model range was extended in 1958 to include the roadster (Open Two Seater, OTS), which now had crank windows on the doors for the first time. Only 888 of the XK 150 OTS in the more powerful and exclusive “S” version were produced up to 1961.
This car was delivered to its first owner in Savannah, Georgia, at the end of 1958 via Jaguar Cars USA in New York. The Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate confirms the delivery and first ownership.
The certificate also lists the relevant unit numbers, which shows that the XK 150 still has both the original engine and the original gearbox. The gearbox was ordered with overdrive at the time, so that the roadster can also be driven perfectly in today’s road traffic.
In 1990, the car was initially imported from the USA to Germany in the district of Ravensburg. Ten years later, in 2000, the vehicle came to Denmark, where it changed hands within the country in 2008. The Jaguar then returned to Germany in 2019, where it was given a German registration and an “H” license plate. Since then, the car has been with the current owner.
During its time in Denmark, the vehicle was extensively restored. There is a photo documentation of this. Since the vehicle has been back in Germany, the XK has been extensively maintained and serviced. There is also corresponding evidence of this.
