From the delivery papers it is clear that the car was additionally ordered with Rudge wheels, engine with special parts for sporty driving, shock absorbers and springs for sporty driving, windscreen washer system and bumper horns. The coupe left the factory in Sindelfingen on May 2nd 1956 and was then delivered via Mercedes-Benz to New York. After documented stations in Pennsylvania, USA at the end of the nineties the import to Germany took place. Two years ago, the SL received in our house a comprehensive revision of the technology in the amount of approximately 150,000. The engine, transmission and rear axle were overhauled and also carried out various work on suspension and optics.
