Measham Rally, 13 Jan 2024 – 14 Jan 2024, Shirl Heath, Leominster:

30675

One of the great challenges in vintage motoring, the Measham Rally returns to its traditional mid-winter slot as the first competitive event in a special anniversary year for the Vintage Sports-Car Club.

The demands of navigational rallying combine with the seasonal climatic conditions and winter-blackness to create a truly iconic and rewarding event.

A shorter route, with lower average speeds, is available and designed to be suitable for Light Cars, Edwardians and those with 2-wheel brakes. There is also a Champagne class, for those who want simpler route instructions, for which all pre-war cars are welcome, with no buff form required. We also welcome entries from cars built before 1962 in an Invitation Class.

Everybody needs to say they have done the Measham at least once and this is the perfect opportunity to tick that box.

New Year Driving Tests, 28 Jan 2024, Brooklands Museum:

30680

The VSCC is thrilled to return once again to the birthplace of British motorsport and aviation, as Brooklands provides a most atmospheric backdrop for the VSCC New Year Driving Tests.

The opening event counting towards the 2023 Tony Jones Trophy, expect to see the VSCC’s regular AutoSOLO and Driving Test competitors out in force, along with local members and some new faces.

The New Year Driving Tests are always a great social occasion for competitors, spectators and marshals alike, so why not come along and join us at this most historic of venues.

The Pomeroy Trophy, 17 Feb 2024, Silverstone Circuit:

There is perhaps no other event that captures the imagination and ethos of the Vintage Sports-Car Club better than the legendary Pomeroy Trophy. It is a truly unique event, run since 1952, in which the speed and agility of pre-war cars are pitted against those of newer cars.

  • A series of tests, culminating with 40 minutes of track time on the ” Historic” Grand Prix Circuit at Silverstone.
  • A truly unique event to find the best Touring Motor Car, with cars spanning 100 years competing against each other.
  • Gordon Spice Cup for non-road cars.
