1991 Ferrari 643

index 1

With modern era Formula One cars rising in their appeal to collectors, the legendary 1991 Ferrari 643, chassis 127, will certainly be arousing a lot of interest. This very special machine boasts the legendary 3.5-litre naturally aspirated V-12, producing over 710 bhp, and is offered for sale in full running order. This stunning and important chassis was campaigned by French Formula One ace and ‘tifosi’ favourite Jean Alesi as well as his teammate, Gianni Morbidelli. On his maiden outing with chassis 127 at Magny-Cours, Alesi was locked in a tight battle with Senna for 3rd place and made a daring lunge down the inside at the hairpin on the final lap. Senna held firm, however, and Alesi had to settle for 4th. The car contested the Australian, British, and French Grands Prix in 1991, including a 4th-place finish at Magny-Cours, with Alesi at the wheel. Chassis 127 then served as the team’s spare car in Germany, Hungary, and Belgium, before it was raced at the season-closing Australian Grand Prix by new recruit Gianni Morbidelli.

The Ferrari is eligible for enjoyment in historic motor racing series such as Formula Legends 3.5L and Ignition GP and chassis 127 represents a rare opportunity to acquire a charismatic piece of Ferrari competition history (Estimate: €2,900,000 – €3,400,000 EUR).

1976 Ferrari 308 GTB ‘Vetroresina’

If a V-12 Formula One power is a step too far, perhaps the 1976 Ferrari 308 GTB ‘Vetroresina’ Group 4 is a more useable, fascinating piece of Ferrari motorsport history. The example in Paris was driven to victory in multiple races by Carlo Facetti, the 1978 Campionato Italiano Group 4 Champion, and is presented having recently had a mechanical restoration by Ferrari specialists Roelofs Engineering and Gipimotor totalling over €200,000. Surely one of the most desirable Group 4 cars available on the market, this great car is estimated to sell for between €750,000 and €950,000 EUR.

Limited production supercars are always in demand, and the 2020 McLaren Speedtail is one of the most spectacular of the breed to launch in recent years. A beautiful machine that was designed with one purpose in mind—to be as aerodynamic and sleek as possible in order to help it to reach an incredible top speed, the Speedtail is capable of an astounding 403 km/h. This example is number 036 of the mere 100 produced and is presented in like-new condition, with one owner from new and just 112 kilometres on the clock (Estimate: €2,200,000 – €2,600,000 EUR).

2015 Ferrari F12tdf ‘Pre-Series’

The 2015 Ferrari F12tdf ‘Pre-Series’ in Paris is a pre-series car which formed part of the homologation process for the model. Finished in the striking colour scheme of Giallo Triplo Strato over a Nera Alcantara interior and converted back to production specification following its work in the development of the production examples, it was bought by the current owner directly from the factory in Maranello, and the odometer reads just 7,810 kilometres (Estimate: €750,000 – €850,000 EUR).

1959 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster

Few cars represent a stronger cornerstone of any automobile collection than the 1959 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster. Boasting a meticulous €700,000, 5-year restoration that ended in 2021, this is arguably one of the best restored 300 SLs in existence. Being presented in the rare colour combination of Hellblau over Creme leather, and offered with full matching-numbers, this makes it one of the finest of Mercedes’ iconic 1950s roadsters (Estimate: €1,500,000 – €1,800,000 EUR).

If something a little more recent and potent from the Stuttgart marque is what you are after, the 2000 Mercedes-Benz CLK DTM is an exotic alternative. Chassis RS00-005 is one of eight CLK DTM chassis constructed by AMG for the 2000 DTM season and was driven during the 2000 DTM season by three-time Le Mans winner Marcel Fässler. It is presented in its stunningly original Warsteiner AMG Mercedes-Benz livery and is ready to take to a racetrack once more, whether that be for the burgeoning Tourenwagen Legenden series or for a private track day (Estimate: €450,000 – €580,000 EUR).

1969 Lamborghini Miura S to Jota Specification

The 1969 Lamborghini Miura S to Jota Specification is a beautiful and highly desirable example of Lamborghini’s masterpiece. This early Lamborghini Miura S with factory air conditioning underwent a painstaking €400,000 conversion to become an homage to the greatest ever Miura. With the only original Jota built no longer in existence, this is as close as one will ever get to the lightweight, 400-horsepower plus Jota variant of the Miura (Estimate: €900,000 – €1,000,000 EUR).

Another Lamborghini offered for sale in Paris is the 1977 Lamborghini Countach LP400 ‘Periscopio’ by Bertone. Fascinatingly, this example was delivered new to Rod Stewart, who clearly enjoyed it as he owned the car for 25 years. This example is one of a mere 157 examples of the first-series LP400 ‘Periscopio’ models produced, and is an icon in the supercar world having been capable of achieving 180 mph flat-out thanks to its 4.0 litre V-12 in 1977 (Estimate: €950,000 – €1,050,000 EUR).
