Gallery Aaldering is presenting an amazing car collection at the new Techno Classic Salon in Dortmund from September 24-27, 2026.
It’s the 36th edition of a successful format with a new concept with more than 1.250 exhibitors from 30 nations. Under the motto „Share The Passion“ the show will continue its successful path and history. Here is a selection of cars from Gallery Aaldering.
MERCEDES BENZ 300 SL GULLWING
When Mercedes-Benz unveiled the 300 SL in 1954, it was immediately clear that this was no ordinary sports car. The famous gullwing doors were not conceived as a styling flourish, but as a technical necessity. The tubular spaceframe rose so high along the sides of the car that conventional doors simply did not make sense. And from that engineering solution emerged one of the most recognizable shapes in automotive history. But beneath that spectacular exterior, there was at least as much technical innovation. ALFA ROMEO 8C SPIDER
Sometimes it takes years before a concept car finally reaches production. And sometimes so much changes along the way that the finished model bears little resemblance to the original design. The Alfa Romeo 8C followed a very different path. When the concept car was unveiled at the beginning of this century, the public response was so overwhelmingly positive that Alfa Romeo decided to put it into production with remarkably few changes. ASTON MARTIN DB4 VANTAGE SS SERIES 4 LHD
An Aston Martin from 1962, finished in Aegean Blue and driven for many years between Lyon and the surrounding vineyards. It is difficult to imagine a more fitting setting for an Aston Martin.
The DB4 Series IV was produced between 1961 and 1962 and represented an important step toward the later DB5. Aston Martin revised a number of details, including the lower-profile hood scoop, the rear lights, and the newly designed grille. Small changes on paper, perhaps, but together they gave the car a more refined and contemporary appearance. Find out more

FERRARI 365 GTB/4 DAYTONA

FERRARI 246 GTS DINO
Some cars feel like they’ve come from another world. This is one of them. The Ferrari 246 GTS is no ordinary classic. It is a rolling sculpture, crafted in an era when every line, every sound, and every detail was designed to stir emotion. Pure. Authentic.
This particular example, delivered new in Switzerland in 1973, is part of a rare group of just 401 European-spec GTS models. LANCIA FLAMINIA SPORT 2.5 ZAGATO
In the early 1960s, Lancia built cars in Turin with a workforce of approximately 5,000 employees. The factory operated six days a week, virtually around the clock. And yet, according to historical accounts, barely two hundred cars sometimes emerged each week. You understand the point: speed was not the most important part of the production process. MASERATI GHIBLI 4.7 SPYDER
The Ghibli was first introduced in the 1960s and was designed by a young Giorgetto Giugiaro, who at the time was working for Ghia. His name would later become associated with cars such as the BMW M1, Lotus Esprit, Lancia Delta, and Volkswagen Golf, but with the Ghibli, his talent was already unmistakably evident. Find out more

MCLAREN 675LT
It may not seem that long ago to many, but it has been more than thirty years since McLaren presented the first road car. The F1, with a centrally placed seat and space for a passenger on either side, went down in the books as one of the most expensive new cars of the time and a now highly sought after and desirable classic in the making.
After the adventure it was quiet for a while, until McLaren entered into a partnership with Mercedes-Benz for the necessary special models through Formula 1.
