The Rolls-Royce Phantom is celebrated as the car that brought Rolls-Royce into the 21st century and reinstated the marque at the apex of luxury. Introduced in 2003 as the first new Rolls-Royce since BMW’s acquisition of the famed automaker, it was also the first model given the prestigious Phantom name since 1990 and was the singular Rolls-Royce model offered until 2009.
The Phantom VII received cosmetic updates in 2009 that subtly refined the front bumper and grille, added 21-inch forged aluminum alloy wheels, and offered several new paint options. In addition, the refresh added LED-illuminated door handles and relocated the window switches, climate control, and volume control to a wood panel in the door, among various other quality-of-life upgrades. All Series I Phantom VIIs were powered by a BMW-made 6.75-liter V12 with a six-speed ZF automatic transmission.
Delivered new through Schmohl AG in Glattbrugg and first registered in the Canton of Zug on 19 March 2009, this elegant coupé, finished in Black Diamond Metallic over a Light Creme Leather interior, was carefully and regularly maintained by its first owner, as evidenced by its original stamped service booklet. The second and current custodian, who acquired the car less than a decade ago, has continued this diligent care. Maintenance has been carried out every two years by Rolls-Royce in Spain, Schmohl AG in Switzerland, and most recently features an in-house service by the mechanic of the collection at 18,739 km in 2023. Since then, the Rolls-Royce has covered only a handful of additional kilometers, with the odometer showing 18,997 km at the time of cataloging.
