Franz Ostermaier’s BMW Schnitzer 2800 CS was one the audience’s favourites at the Rossfeldrennen 2018. Franz showed the audience at the Panoramastraße what his engine is like – 6-cylinder/2 valve Type M30. Pure „goose bumps“ feeling!
Since 1970 the 2800 CS attended many national and international touring cars endurance races and hill-climb championships driven by Dieter Quester, Rauno Aaltonen and Ernst Furthmayer. As of 2010 the car was restored with original parts to a ready-to-race condition and can be admired by many historical circuit races’ audiences since 2013.
Specifications: Capacity: 2996 cc / Power: 340 hp at 8000 rpm / Transmission: ZF 5-speed racing gear / Weight: ca.1250 kg
