This chassis was laid down by Bob McKee for a Can-Am version of the Howmet. It was never raced as Howmet pulled its funding to the project before the car could debut.
The car was retained by Bob McKee until it was eventually sold to the Ascott Collection, which had previously owned one of the Le Mans cars. The car was subsequently restored to full running order in GTP configuration complete with an engine fitted with a waste-gate. In this guise, it finally turned its first wheel in anger during the 2017 season. For 2018, it has been entered for the Le Mans Classic.
