The roadster was delivered to its first owner in the Obertaunus district of Germany on 13 October 1958, who ordered the car in the rare DB353 light blue metallic with blue leather interior, only 34 roadsters were produced in this colour. The original paint can still be seen in places. The entire ownership history can be fully documented by the original cardboard cover letter from 1958. The car has never left the country and was last owned by the same owner for over 30 years. In the last 44 years, only 45,000 kilometres have been covered. According to the original warranty booklet, the engine was overhauled at Motoren Krux in 1977 at a mileage of 119,016. In recent years, the roadster has been serviced and overhauled at the Mercedes Classic Centre. Before being handed over to its new owner, the 300 SL will receive an extensive service at HK-ENGINEERING with current TÜV and H-approval.
