Unique, original Mercedes-Benz 300S Coupé with only 24,000 kilometers on the clock.
The car features a beautifully preserved original interior and partially original paint. Even the original Englebert spare tire is still fitted in the trunk. In addition, several stickers from the early 1960s have been preserved, further attesting to the car’s exceptional originality.
The vehicle was first delivered to its original owner in Düsseldorf on April 14, 1953. The buyer was the Prince of Salm-Salm from Rhede in Westphalia. The Salm-Salm family is a well-known German princely house, with its administrative seat in Rhede.
According to the original delivery documents, a Telefunken radio was also ordered with the car. In 2012, the coupé was registered in California with Boulevard Motorcar Co. The chassis, engine, and body numbers all correspond with the original delivery documents, confirming that the car retains its matching numbers.
This is a rare opportunity to acquire this luxurious and exceptionally rare collector’s vehicle – only 216 examples were ever produced in outstanding original condition.
