The ‘Last Hurrah’ Of The Season! Motor Racing Legends Silverstone GP Meeting

Motor Racing Legends will be signing-off the 2022 season in style with an action-packed weekend on the Silverstone GP circuit on 22nd and 23rd October. Based in the International Paddock at the ‘Wing’, the meeting will feature four MRL grids covering seven of the race Series. The timetable for the weekend has now been published; and with just over four weeks to go, now is the time to submit your entries.

The feature on Saturday will be the three-hour Royal Automobile Club Pall Mall Cup, the popular endurance race for Pre ’66 GT and Touring Cars and Pre ’61 Sports Racing Cars. So far this season, the spoils have gone to Jon Minshaw and Phil Keen’s Jaguar E-type (Donington Historic Festival) and Richard Cook and Harvey Stanley’s Shelby Cobra (Snetterton Historic 200). It’s all to play for at Silverstone – entries are open to two or three drivers per car in a grid that features in-race re-fuelling.

There is also the added value of the ‘team prize’ – get together with your friends in the race (one car per class, three cars per team) to be in the running for some fabulous trophies from the Royal Automobile Club – and maybe the Pall Mall Cup itself! After a mid-morning 50-minute qualifying, the race commences just before 3 o’clock, with what should be a scintillating finish into the sunset.
