HK-Engineering’s spring rally 2026 took place on the first weekend in May. They had reserved an entire hotel on Lake Starnberg for the participants.

On the first day, the route took the cars – mostly Mercedes Benz 300SL – past the royal castles toward Austria and along Lake Walchensee. On Saturday, the route was through downtown Munich with a stop at Max-Joseph-Platz, then continued to Oberschleißheim Palace. There, participants were treated to a guided tour of the Oberschleißheim Airfield, where the Royal Bavarian Air Force was stationed during World War I. In one of the first concrete hangars in history, impressive exhibits from the early days of aviation were on display.

The tour then continued to Lake Ammer and back to Lake Starnberg via particularly scenic routes through Upper Bavaria. The weather could hardly have been better, and Bavaria showed itself from its best side. In many places, participants were also able to witness the traditional raising of the Maypoles.

The field of participants comprised over 30 vehicles and this time included representatives from every continent. For the first time, the HK- Engineering Adenauer pickup truck was also used as a service vehicle – it had been restored for more than ten years in meticulous work. Originally, this vehicle was in service with the city administration of Monaco.
Rarely before have HK-Engineering received such a positive feedback on an HK event – most participants have already indicated that they will be back next year.
