The first ever British Grand Prix was held at the historic Brooklands race circuit on 7th August 1926.

Thus, last weekend saw a sellout event to mark the 100 years since that great day with the what is believed to be the largest ever assembly of celebrated racing cars. 120 cars representing 50 marques were gathered together. Many of them spanning the century were to be seen in action on the old track and at the adjacent Mercedes Benz World. An outstanding event that was bathed in sunshine throughout the whole day. Here is a small selection of the various eras of cars that were on show or in action.
