The Spring Florida Auction Results

The Florida Spring Auctions have concluded, and while there may be fewer dramatic, standout sales as compared to past years, the overall trajectory appears to have rebounded from the softness observed in Monterey last year. Here is a breakdown of the auction activity that took place over the last two weeks in Florida.

Total of $196.5M, up from $183.8M from the four auctions in 2024
Average price and sell-through rate maintained a slight improvement from last year, too, with increases from $534K to $571K and from 86% to 88%, respectively
Established sectors of the market rebounded after Monterey

While seven and eight-figure cars have been selling privately for the past several months, the $1M+ sell-through rate of 90% at the Florida Spring Auctions might entice those cars back to auctions. In Monterey last year, the sell-through rate for $1M+ vehicles was just 55%.

The Enzo-era Ferrari market rebounded from August. After a sell-through rate of just 53% in Monterey, the Amelia + Miami sell-through rate of 71% shows an improvement just seven months later. Of course, about a fifth as many were offered in Amelia and Miami as were on offer in Monterey, and the $2.8M average price of these Florida auctions was the same as Monterey ’24. Despite the better sell-through rate, the market for these cars is still softer than a year ago.

Porsches and the Amelia auctions are usually a winning combination, but few big Porsches were offered this year, and the average price and total sales fell as a result. Total Porsche sales fell from $34M in 2024 to $25.8M this year and the average price also dropped from $644K to $423K despite only just less car on offer (65 this year compared to 66 in 2024). The sell-through rate improved, however, from 80% to 94%.

Among the German specialist speed merchants of the RADwood era (the 1980s and 1990s), RUF dropped the hammer and ran away from AMG at the auctions. With only four RUFs offered to 13 pre-merger AMGs, 75% of the cars from Pfaffenhausen (RUF) sold to 69% of the cars from Affalterbach (AMG). Further, the average price of the RUFs was nearly $3.3M to $261,600 of the pre-merger AMGs. The top selling RUF even made our Sale of the Week.

The Lamborghini market continued to improve. The 14 offered this year were more than 10 last year, but the sell-through rate jumped from 50% to 93% in 2025. Further, the average price increased from $737K last year to $949K. The breadth of Lamborghinis sold spanned from a 1968 Miura P 400S that sold for $2.45M to a 2019 Aventador LP770-4 SVJ 63 that sold for $967,500.

Referencing the Hagerty Price Guide, the final price-to-condition-appropriate-value premium has a median of just 3%, indicating that sale prices were mostly in line with recent market activity. In 2024, the median final price-to-condition-appropriate Hagerty Price Guide value was 10%, down from 15% in 2023. Broadly, the market is in no rush to buy or sell.
