This 110 ft all carbon sloop was commissioned by an experienced yachtsman who required a yacht for global family cruising adventures at pace.
Baltic Yachts has once again teamed up with naval architects Malcolm McKeon Yacht Design and external project manager and owner’s representative A2B Marine Projects, who were both responsible for the highly successful Baltic 112 Liara.
This yacht is the third Baltic to be commissioned with an electric propulsion system using the well proven Lithium-ion powered Danfoss motor driving a conventional shaft.
Highly efficient, quieter and with much reduced vibration, compared to an internal combustion engine, the electric motor is emissions-free and converts to a generator using the yacht’s free-wheeling propeller while sailing.
Although the yacht still needs diesel generators, the twin 129kW Cummins units are designed to meet IMO Tier 3 emissions regulations, further enhancing the yacht’s eco-credentials.
Its spectacular interior design is by Stockholm-based Andreas Martin-Löf Arkitekter.
