1960 Mercedes Benz 220SE Ponton coupe, Serial Number 12803711003554, 516 Medium Red with cognac leather, 2.2 litre in-line 6 cylinder engine with Bosch fuel injection making 134 hp with 137 lb-ft of torque, Mercedes Benz Hydrak 4-speed semi-automatic clutchless transmission, hydraulic drum brakes, 5 place seating, factory sliding steel sunroof, Becker Europa High Fidelity AM/FM radio, fitted luggage, delivered new to the USA and built in August 1960 in the original colors of 335 Blue with grey leather, owned in the 1990s and restored by prolific Mercedes Benz collector Dr. Philip Lufty of Phoenix, Arizona, and just coming to Copley Motorcars out of their longtime client’s European focused collection, fresh specialist servicing, one of just 830 220SE coupes built from 1958 – 1960, and from the final year of W128 chassis Ponton production.
