This is the Jaguar D-Type Continuation with Chassis No. XKD 801 , No. 1 of only 25 made.

There have been many offerings from independent specialists over the years but this car has been built by the factory as part of Jaguar Classics’ Continuation programme. Only 25 new examples of the D-Type were hand-built at Jaguar Land Rover Classic Works in Warwickshire. In 1955 Jaguar planned to build 100 D-Types; with only 75 completed, Jaguar Classic decided to fulfil the company’s original ambition by creating 25 all-new, period-correct examples.

Jaguar Classic’s experts’ painstaking research, with exclusive access to original Jaguar engineering drawings and records, ensures each new D-Type is built to the authentic specifications laid down by competitions manager Lofty England and his engineers in the 1950s.

Jaguar’s multiple LeMans win in the 1950s – twice with the C-Type and three times wit its D-Type successor, as well as numerous victories in other great classic endurance events, have ensured a counting demand for these rare and exotic works sports-racers and you can be sure that this No. 1 is the most sought after of all continuation D-Types.

This is a unique opportunity for collectors around the world to acquire the No. 1 D-Type Continuation with short nose bodywork. Its finished in Sherwood Green with suede green interior. It comes with an aluminium passenger-side tonneau cover and a single driver wraparound windscreen. Other factory-fitted options are as follows:
