1 of only 247 1965 Maserati Sebring 3500 GTi Series 2 ever produced. The beautiful Vignale bodywork is a design from the hands of no less than Giovanni Michelotti. Built on the 8th April 1965, it was supplied new to Maserati dealer Martinelli & Sonvico in Chiasso, Switzerland.
They acquired the car from a person near Zurich, Switzerland who had owned the car for the last 20 years. The Sebring has been fully restored and rebuilt by a very professional Swiss outfit. There is a copious amount of documentation present dating back at least 30 years. This also includes a folder containing many photos and invoices relating to the restoration. Since the restoration the car has been perfectly maintained, with many invoices in support. This 3500 Series 2 has the favoured 5-speed ZF transmission, independent front suspension and disc brakes on all 4 wheels. The lovely bodywork is straight with perfect fittings. It has the original ‘Grigio Inglewood Metallizzato’ with wonderful red Burgundy leather trim finish and Borrani spoke rims. This Sebring has the ‘Maserati Classische’ certification and her original, matching numbers, 3500 engine. This is truly a beautiful and rare Sebring series 2 with supporting provenance!
