500 horsepower 4.0-liter flat six engine, 7-speed dual clutch transmission

Announced at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, the 991.1 GT3 RS was a force to be reckoned with and called on all of its challengers to step up. Featuring an updated 4.0-liter flat six engine, it produced 500 naturally aspirated horsepower linked to Porsche’s faultless 7-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission. Updated aesthetics vs. the normal GT3 included a different rear wing, louvers in the front fenders and rear air intakes similar to 911 Turbos. Along with a roof made of magnesium, carbon fiber bucket seats, Torque Vectoring Plus and rear-axle steering, the GT3 RS was the hardcore upgrade to the normal GT3 that so many people craved.

One of those people looking to have the best of Porsche’s 911 lineup was none other than America’s most famous celebrity Porsche collector. Known for his affinity for the Porsche brand with many valuable and historically important cars in his collection, he wanted to make sure that his GT3 RS was special and unlike any other car ordered. What transpired created this GT3 RS: a true one-of-one design, the only Porsche GT3 RS ever in this specific color.

Porsche is no stranger to the special wishes from their customers, but this was a unique example. Porsche applied their special 918 color to the GT3 RS especially for collector, named Liquid Chrome Blue Metallic. The entire car was covered in this unique color, stunning to behold in person and mesmerizing the longer you look into its deep layers of pigment and clear coat. However, the special wishes department’s magic did not come without a magical price tag. In addition to this special one-off paint finish, along with his impeccable factory option list, this GT3 RS’s options list cost $256,640! When factoring in the base price, transport and normal fees, this Porsche 911 GT3 RS had a completed window sticker MSRP of $449,890. After he acquired his car, the Porsche was immediately given a comprehensive full-body paint protection film wrap, covering almost every square inch of paint surface on his brand-new vehicle.

The collector kept this car in his large collection until only recently, driving to the current odometer reading of 1,403 miles. The collector, being a friend of Bruce Canepa, talked with him and sent over his GT3 RS when he decided it was time for it to make room in his collection. When it arrived at Canepa, the overall presentation was jaw dropping. A one-off paint finish from Porsche completely protected by paint protection wrap, black leather interior with deviated stitching, and all the right boxes ticked on the options list. Needing no introduction to know that this GT3 RS was a true and unique specimen, now is the opportunity to own one of the highly-spec’d Porsche 911 GT3 RSs. Now you too can own the only Porsche 911 GT3 RS painted in Liquid Chrome Blue Metallic, owned by America’s most famous celebrity Porsche collector.
