1967 BRABHAM BT21A

One of 10 B21As built as Formula Libre for Lotus Twin Cam Power and Hewland FT200 gearbox. Brabham Factory records show delivery to Hugh Dibley for client at Ford Motor Company. It has a fully documented ownership history from Dibley to present owner. SCCA Central Division Regional Champion in 1977 with Richard Cole. Most recently raced with HMSA and CSRG on the West Coast.

Condition:
Completely restored in 2000 by Brabham expert Dave Irwin of Evergreen, Colorado. A bare frame rebuild of all components. Later up keep by Tom Ellis of Thomas Vintage Motors (Boulder, Colorado). Then to Bert Skidmore of Intrepid Motorcar Co. in Sparks, Nevada. Lotus Twin Cam rebuilt by Dave Vegher of Veloce Motors West producing 199.3 HP at 8100 rpm. 3.5 hours’ time since rebuild. Hewland FT200 5 Speed gearbox with limited slip and 4.5 hours’ time. Running 10” x 13” front and 14” by 13” rear wheels. Always at a very high level of race prep with excellent records.
