Price on request

When the great Enzo Ferrari described the Jaguar E-Type as “the most beautiful car in the world” he had not seen this extraordinary example. Fastidiously restored over five years without compromise by leading specialist Steve Slyfield and finished by Hi-Tech Motorsport, this full-history 3.8-litre Fixed Head Coupé importantly retains its original specification, albeit competition-optimised, and is tested and ready to win on race circuits, in road rallies or concours d’elegance. Stunningly refinished in Opalescent Gunmetal Grey with exceptional attention to detail and cockpit ergonomics demanded by a most discerning client, it is arguably the best of the best.

Signed-off from the fabled Browns Lane factory in Coventry on January 28, 1963, this Series 1 car was despatched on February 7 to US distributor Jaguar Cars New York and sold to Dr E A Ginsberg. Since re-importation to the UK in 2015, Martin Robey has rebuilt the shell from bare metal, incorporating Protheroe ‘CUT 7’ inspired flared rear arches and RS Panels doors. The Tour Auto-compliant Crosthwaite & Gardiner iron block engine features a wide-angle cylinder head breathing through Weber 45DCOE carburettors. Dyno-tested at 378bhp with superlative torque for phenomenal tractability from 4000-6000rpm, this car incorporates every priceless performance advantage evolved on the stable’s five-time Modena Cento Ore Classic-winning sister. Plus unparalleled creature comforts which create an awesome and unique driving experience.
