1491GT was completed in October 1959 and delivered new to Luigi Chinetti Motors wearing Nocciola paint over naturale leather and wearing Borrani wire wheels. Between 1959-1971 the PF coupe is believed to have had just two or three East coast owners before being purchase by Wayne Sparling and NART Mechanic who worked for Chinetti. Sparling was a Ferrari fanatic and his love affair with 1491GT would last over four decades. In 1992 the car underwent a restoration and was painted the current red and dressed with a black interior. Mr. Sparling integrated an air conditioning system for comfortable cruising on those hot and humid Florida days. In 2007 the coupe was displayed at the Cavallino Concours in the Breakers hotel, Palm Beach FL. Subsequently the car has been properly stored and sparingly used. The engine shows excellent compression (150-160PSI per cylinder) and exhibits great road manners. An ideal PF Coupe that will certainly reward its next caretaker!
